Information
Architectural Design (Doctor of Philosophy) program. The application requirements, quotas, application schedule, and other relevant information are provided below. After reviewing the application announcement and the requirements, you must complete your application between April 24, 2026 09:00 - June 26, 2026 17:00 ( UTC/GMT+3 ). Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their applications are successfully completed within the application period. Completed applications will be evaluated by the Registrar’s Office, and applicants will receive an email indicating whether their application has been accepted or rejected. The status can also be checked via the Application Form. Applicants with approved applications cannot make changes to their preferences or submitted information.

Minimum GPA from undergraduate to doctorate must be 3.5/4 (88.33/100). Applicants who will apply for PhD programs after their undergraduate level degree are required to have minimum 80 from ALES.
* Applicants applying under the international student quota may apply without submitting ALES or GRE/GMAT scores. These students are considered to have received conditional admission if they are accepted into the program. Students are required, within two semesters from the date of enrollment, either to submit the minimum required ALES or GRE/GMAT score for the admitted program or to enroll in courses each semester and achieve a minimum GPA of BB (or equivalent) by the end of the second semester. Students who fail to meet either of these requirements will have their affiliation with the university terminated.

Requirement for Completed or Expected Graduation Program
Applicants who have graduated from, or are in the process of graduating from, Environmental Control and Construction Technologies, Interior Architecture, Urban Design, Architectural Design, Architecture, Architectural History, Landscape Architecture, Restoration, Urban and Regional Planning programs may apply.

Sprecial Requirements for the Program
ALES Numerical must be minimum 75 (old system GRE Quantitative minimum 700, new system GRE minimum 155 ). Applicants who will apply for PhD programs after their undergraduate level degree are required to have Numerical score minimum 80 from ALES. Graduate GPA must be minimum 3.00/4 (76.66/100). Minimum GPA from undergraduate to doctorate must be 3.5/4 (88.33/100). Graduation must be Environmental Control and Construction Technologies, Interior Architecture, Urban Design, Architectural Design, Architecture, Architectural History, Landscape Architecture, Restoration, Urban and Regional Planning. During the application, applicants are required to upload an acceptance letter from the program professor who accepted to supervise them during their studies, their Masters Thesis and a file consisting of publications and written work. In addition, an architectural design/urban studies portfolio consisting of Undergraduate and Postgraduate works may be uploaded. Interviews for international applicants will be held online.

Portfolio
Applicants are required to upload a portfolio during the application process. The portfolio must be in PDF format and no larger than 50 MB.
Applicants for the PhD Program are required to upload a Portfolio, which is a file that includes their Masters Thesis (while uploading an abstract and an excerpt is accepted, but a full version needs to be sent to the program email during applications.) and other publications and written works. In addition, architectural design/urban studies works completed during Undergraduate and Postgraduate may be uploaded.

English Proficiency
English proficiency is not required for application. PHD candidates who are entitled to final registration must present their a valid English language certificate at the time of final registration.
