Course Description
This course provides an introduction to lightweight structures. The design principles of lightweight structures are evaluated by focusing on structures made with timber, composites and metals. The course is for practicing architects who are willing to be involved in the design process of lightweight structures. In this context, typical examples related to lightweight structures will be also examined and evaluated.
