Course Description
Inter- and intra-molecular bonds, General behavior of polymers, Polymerization processes of polymers to be used in fiber spinning, Spinning processes: Melt Spinning, Solution spinning (wet and dry spinning), Gel spinning, bi-component fiber spinning, nanofiber production with electrospinning; Polyester fiber spinning processes (Preparation of the fiber spinning melt, fiber spinning, post-processes, crimping, cutting, baling), Polyamide, Polyacrylonitrile, viscose and polypropylene fiber spinning processes; Texturing process, aims and methods, Thermo-mechanical Texturing Methods (False-twist texturing, Knife-edge texturizing, Stuffer-box texturizing, knit-deknit texturizing methods), Mechanical texturing method (Air-jet texturing), Textured yarn types and applications. intermingling, de-torque techniques, and air-covering process, air-jet texturing technology, the properties of air-jet textured yarns and their quality parameters, hot air-jet texturing and BCF yarn production, other (Chemical, differential shrinkage, bi-component) texturing technologies, novel, and innovative texturing techniques and the future potential of texturing technologies.
