Course Description
Dynamics of fluids; transport theorem, continuity equation, equations of motions, conservation of energy. Constitutive equations of ideal and viscous fluids. Hydrostatics. Ideal fluids, Bernoulli’s theorems. Incompressible fluids, steady flow, potential flow, sphere in uniform flow, undersea explosion. Plane potential flows; complex potentials, Blasius’s theorem, circle theorem; source, sink and cylinder problems. Some analytically solved problems in viscous fluid; flow between parallel plates, Poiseulle flow, Couette flow
