Course Description
Nuclear Decay : Decay Law; Types of Decays and Units. Detection of Radiation : Interaction of Radiation with Matter; Detector Types; Energy, Time and Lifetime Measurements; Counting Statistics. Theory of Decays : Alpha, Beta and Gamma Decays in Detail. Nuclear Reactions : Experimental Techniques, Reaction Cross Sections, Scattering, Direct Nuclear Reactions, Resonance Reactions.
