2020-2021 SUMMER EDUCATION COURSE REGISTRATION PROCESS

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the following rules will be applied in the Summer Education in line with the decision taken by the University Senate on 01.04.2021, restricted to the Summer Education of the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

  • Summer education is 5 weeks.
  • Summer education courses will be held synchronously on the date and time of the course, via distance education.
  • Students from inside and outside of ITU will be able to take a maximum of 10 credits.
  • Summer school mid-term and final exams will be held in accordance with the “Application Principles and Procedures for Distance Education”.

  5. Course Registrations
  6. Course registrations will start at 14:00 on Monday, July 05, 2021, and will finish at 16:00 on Wednesday, July 07, 2021. The list of the courses that will be closed on Wednesday, July 07, 2021 will be determined and this list of courses that will be closed will be announced on July 08, 2021. Course registrations (add-drop) will open again on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 and will end at 16:00 on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

  7. Payment of Summer Tuition Fees
  8. You can pay your 2020 - 2021 Academic Year Summer School fees from Vakıfbank Branches / ATM / Interactive Banking from 14:00 on 27 July 2021 to 16:00 on 28 July 2021.

    In addition, our students abroad will be able to pay their fees from abroad on the relevant dates. The bank account information for the students who will pay the Summer School Fee from abroad is represented below.

    When paying the Summer Tuition Fee to the bank, you must specify your student number and make the payment process and have your student number processed on the receipt.

  11. Engineering Completion Program Course Registrations
  12. To the Attention of Our Students Who Will Take Courses from Other Universities in the Summer School
  13. Students who want to take courses from other Higher Education Institutions in the Summer School can take courses with the positive opinion of the Department Board and the decision of the Faculty Administrative Board. Otherwise, the courses taken will not be recorded in the transcript.

  14. About the course registrations of students who want to take courses from the Summer School by taking advantage of the special student status at our university while they are registered at another higher education institution

  16. Courses with the codes of "ITA", "ISP", "FRA", "ALM", "JPN", "RUS", "CIN" offered by the School of Foreign Languages

  17. a- Foreign Language Courses, which are included in the lesson plans of undergraduate programs as non-credit before, are included in the final plan (2017-2018 Fall semester and after) as with 3 credits as of the spring semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, in accordance with the decision of the University Senate, dated 29 November 2018 and numbered 689 and they have been added to the ITB (Humanities and Social Sciences) group courses. If these courses are taken, the letter grades to be taken at the end of the semester will be recorded on the transcript and will affect the graduation credit and average.
    b- Students who are included in the 2017-2018 Fall semester and later plans have to complete their ITB credits if they have successfully completed the foreign language courses added to ITB before the 2018-2019 spring semester (since the courses were non-credit at that time).
    c- Students included in the 2017-2018 Fall semester plans can take these courses, but these courses will not be counted towards graduation credits.

  18. To the attention of students whose maximum education period will expire at the end of the 2020-2021 Academic Year
  19. It is recommended to make course selections by examining the 14th article of the ITU Undergraduate Education Regulations under the title of Education period and form.

  20. A student whose graduation has been finalized at the end of the Spring Semester (on July 26, 2021)
  21. The course registrations of the students whose graduation has been finalized at the end of the 2021 Spring semester (on July 26, 2021) and who have registered for courses on 2021 summer semester will be deleted in line with the faculty graduation decision.

  22. Deregistration process from double major minor programs
  23. As of the end of the 2020-2021 Spring Semester, the process of deregistering from Double Major and Minor programs is continuing. Since the students who are in the condition of being expelled in accordance with the relevant regulations of the ITU Undergraduate Transfer, Double Major and Minor Program Directive will be deregistered from the 2nd Major / Minor program at the end of the process and the 2nd Major / Minor courses they will take will be dropped, this issue should be taken into account in 2020-2021 Summer School course selections.

  24. Course enrollment procedures for students who is facing the prerequisite error.
  25. Double major and minor program students who could not register for the courses due to a prerequisite error should apply to the ÖİDB via "https://yardım.itu.edu.tr" with the relevant course information (CRN, course name and course code, etc) until July 8th, 2021. Course registrations of these students will be made by the ÖİDB between 14 and 16 July 2021 after examining the required conditions. Applications submitted after July 8th, 2021 will not be considered and evaluated.
