About students who apply to programs that require ALES, GRE, or GMAT scores. Applicants applying under the international student quota may apply without submitting ALES or GRE/GMAT scores. These students are considered to have received conditional admission if they are accepted into the program. Students are required, within two semesters from the date of enrollment, either to submit the minimum required ALES or GRE/GMAT score for the admitted program or to enroll in courses each semester and achieve a minimum GPA of BB (or equivalent) by the end of the second semester. Students who fail to meet either of these requirements will have their affiliation with the university terminated.
  3. One of the documents indicating English proficiency accepted by the ITU Senate.) (You can check whether the programs have a foreign language requirement in the Prerequisites section.) English certificate is not mandatory in the Master applications. The students admitted to any master program can complete their registration without an English certificate, but they cannot take courses until the submission of a valid English certificate.

Graduates of undergraduate programs at Istanbul Technical University, excluding the Turkish Music State Conservatory, who apply to a master’s program within no more than two semesters following their graduation date may, upon request, be exempt from the requirement to submit a foreign language proficiency certificate; such candidates may also benefit from the provisions of Article 33 upon request, and this preference must be declared to the Registrar’s Office at the time of final registration.
