| Course Description |
| Introduction to various measurement devices and experimental schemes for the measurement of luminous flux, illuminance
level, luminance, power factor and harmonics for the characterization of light sources and auxiliary devices. Experiments with
fluorescent, metal halide, low and high pressure sodium vapor, high pressure mercury vapor lamps, light emitting diodes (LEDs).
Photometric experiments in the dark room, luminaire luminous intensity distributions, luminous flux and efficacy measurements
with the integrating sphere. LED drivers, ballasts, power factor correction. |
