Course Description
Methods of underwater pipe-laying. Design of offshore pipelines. Calculation of pipe dimensions and pipe weight in water and air. Pipeline over an underwater sediment layer. Pipeline covering Pipe-soil interaction. Stress analysis of offshore pipelines during installation. Approximate solution for shallow water. Iteration based numerical solution for deep water. Stinger design. Technical management of the pipeline.
